Why do bad readings happen?

There are so many reasons a bad reading can occur, here are some:
- Questions were vague and poorly formed (especially if intended to be so);
- The medium (reader, psychic, tools) were being tested;
- There was a certain outcome being sought after;
- The reader didn't know how to read professionally.
- It's time to have faith in yourself and the powers that be;
- Now is not the best time for a reading.
Say you get a reading from me and you feel outraged, angered, or
believe it's totally incorrect -- that's fine -- but what I want to
encourage you to recognize is that there is value and opportunity in
that exchange.
To note, it's part of my values and code of conduct to deliver
challenging news in a compassionate and honest way so while I may not
have all good things to say, I do try to leave a seeker off on a
positive note having left feeling better than when walked in.
People often believe that if they got whatever they were looking for,
that makes a reading 5* when in reality it doesn't. Synchroncity, right
timing, and other metaphysical events can and do occur.
If you find yourself at the end of the reading, not only commenting on
how wrong I was but somehow I'm the catalyst to you deciding to no
longer get readings, that's a GREAT thing because what it suggests is
that the higher self (which can include the Creator and spirits)
steering you back towards faith and yourself with the avoidance of a
middle person -- a medium -- like myself. For you, this may be EXACTLY
what you need and if I can be a conduit to that experience, I'm
thankful!

A response is as great as the query. Building questions that get to the heart of the matter without giving a lot of background information will ensure that you will get what you need to make decisions, move on, or feel settled.
The medium (reader, psychic, tools) was being tested.
Testing is a sure fire way to waste your money and get a bad read unless that was the purpose of the session. If you need to test, ask for a past, present, future read which will confirm the accuracy of the reader. Ask about something that you know to be true and let the reader know that you would like to test accuracy. Keep in mind that not all readers are alike. Some readers can divine names while others are focused on feelings so give a reader some breathing room to do what they do best.
There was a certain outcome being sought after.
This is not beneficial to seeker OR reader. Readers get a good sense for what people want and because many readers tend to be pleasing oriented they may tell you what you want to hear rather than what really is. This does the seeker nor the reader any favours because accuracy is often poor. On the flipside some readers will ignore what you want and read what actually is and the seeker may get very alarmed and upset over the response. So don't ask about what you are not prepared to know no matter what the response. And if you are fixed on a specific outcome, don't go to a reader to confirm the outcome.
The reader didn't know how to read professionally.
There are tons of hobbyists out there who read for friends and family but who have no idea how to read professionally. They often charge a lot less for their readings and give a lot less in return. In fact, their readings can come straight from a book as they use you as their training ground. Top professionals who read day-in and day-out and have a wonderful client base, testimonials, and book at least a week in advance, usually charge a lot more than hobbyists who read on a whim.
It's time to have faith in yourself and the powers that be.
Some seekers keep seeking. They like to go to different psychics and get different readings on the same question. This really does a seeker no good.
